Hey everyone.
Sorry, but I didn't have time tonight to do a long post. I just wanted to write something very quickly to ask anyone reading this again to please forward the URL for this blog to everyone you know. I really feel very strongly that people need to know what's going on in this election and how the McCain plans would affect them. We need Barack Obama in the White House and only by getting out the word can we assure this happens.
I just have one link for you tonight. This comes from Countdown with Keith Olbermann tonight.
Now, obviously Olbermann is very biased on Obama's side. But I personally feel justifiably so at most times. I have to admit I only started watching Olbermann about a month ago so I don't know what he was like before the election started (if he's always just been a flaming liberal or just someone who points out the truth of things when one side is doing bad) but when I watch him I only see the truth. Maybe I'm blinded, but I don't think so. He's always pointing out facts, things that have been proven, and pointing out the stupidity and hypocrisy of the McCain campaign with examples to back him up. He's not just making unproven speculations like a Sean Hannity is want to do.
In any case, in the past week McCain, Palin, and their surrogates have been saying things about being in the "real Virginia" and "pro-American" parts of the country, essentially accusing people who don't share their views or parts of the country where they are not leading in the polls of being un-American.
Now, what do you think of that? Are you un-American if you don't vote for John McCain? I don't think so. I think we're all Americans, we all care about our country, and just because we don't agree with one party, whether that is Republican or Democrat, that doesn't make anyone anti-America or un-Patriotic. I think it's downright disgusting and offensive that the Republicans would suggest that you are un-American for not voting for them. I'm offended and you should be too. This is not a battle of the pro-Americans and the anti-Americans. We all are Americans and care about our country. Which is why we should vote against these divisive rablerousers on November 4th and put the true uniter, Barack Obama, into office.
Anyway, here's the link of Keith Olbermann calling out McCain and his people out for their behavior: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWtv1YBqt28
I just hope the undecideds in this country see this and truly start to understand the tactics being used by McCain. This is the man who is supposed to unite our country and lead us together into better days? I don't think so.
